Why does my HDD password show frozen in the BIOS?

Changes to the BIOS may cause the HDD password to be set to Frozen. If the HDD password is set to Frozen, please follow the steps below.

Enter your BIOS.
Create a supervisor password. Save the changes and reboot.
Go back into BIOS and CLEAR the supervisor password and exit saving the changes.
Power the system down completely.
Restart the system after it has completely powered down.
Go into BIOS and you should be able to clear the HDD password.
