VM machines freezes randomly after a while in VMware Workstation Pro 17.5

I removed WSL and disabled Hyper-V.

Then added the following lines to the bottom of the VM's vmx file:

keyboard.allowBothIRQs = "FALSE"

keyboard.vusb.enable = "TRUE"

that fixed the freezes for me
